What's Called Friendship?

Friendship is the cooperative and supportive relationship between two or more people. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, affection, and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as the exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for some, the practical execution of friendship is little more than the trust that someone will not harm them.

Value that is found in friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating the following on a consistent basis:

Friendship in history

Friendship is considered one of the central human experiences, and has been sanctified by all major religions. The Epic of Gilgamesh, a Babylonian poem that is among the earliest known literary works in history, chronicles in great depth the friendship between Gilgamesh and Enkidu. The Greco-Roman had, as paramount examples, the friendship of Orestes and Pylades, and, in Virgil's Aeneid, the friendship of Euryalus and Nisus, and lastly Robert and Aimee. The Abrahamic faiths have the story of David and Jonathan. Friendship played an important role in German Romanticism. A good example for this is Schiller's Die Bürgschaft.

The Christian Gospels state that Jesus Christ declared, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."(John 15:13).

In philosophy, Aristotle is known for his discussion (in the Nicomachean Ethics) of philia, which is usually (somewhat misleadingly) translated as "friendship," and certainly includes friendship, though is a much broader concept.

Aristotle's conception of friendship conceived of three distinct categories or 'tiers' thereof. As Professor Bill Mullen (of Bard College) lectured: "first, there are your 'business partners,' those who benefit financially from their 'friends' (contemporary theorists and poets reject this definition (c.f. Paul Shepard, who dismisses this relationship as "worship of Mammon.")) second, there are your 'drinking buddies' – people you have fun with. And, third, people with whom you pursue virtue, or arete."

In a comparison of personal relationships, friendship is considered to be closer than association, although there is a range of degrees of intimacy in both friendships and associations. Friendship and association can be thought of as spanning across the same continuum. The study of friendship is included in sociology, social psychology, anthropology, philosophy, and zoology. Various theories of friendship have been proposed, among which are social exchange theory, equity theory, relational dialectics, and attachment styles.

Pastel TuTup :]

Pastel tutup ini masakan populer, mungkin perpaduan antara kuliner belanda dan chinese. Bahkan di kraton, Salah satu Sunan Solo punya menu favorit namanya Pastel krukup, dengan bentuk yang lebih sederhana.

Isi pastel dengan tambahan soun dan jamur kuping yang membuat aku menyimpulkan ada unsur chinese di sini. Biarpun ini belum tentu ingredient yang baku dari pastel tutup, tapi kubakukan buat pastelku:-)

Favoritku, pastel yang berkuah, sehingga ketika di makan, kentang toppingnya berpadu dengan kuah yang gurih, jadi tidak seret:-))
tapi saat gaya ini di pakai untuk jualan,
aku dikomplen, karena pastelnya kog kayak sop:-(

Jadi, kalau bikin untuk orang diluar keluarga, biasanya perlu di ken
talkan sedikit, supaya tidak di protes

Pastel Tutup....mau kering atau berkuah...ini masalah selera

Ingredients:
Pure kentang :
500 gr kentang
½ sdt garam
¼ sdt merica bubuk
2 sdm margarin
1 sdm Maggie seasoning

Isi :
25 gr soun, rendam air panas, potong2 4 cm
25 gr jamur kuping, rendam, iris halus
3 sdm kacang polong kalengan
150 gr wortel, iris kecil2
2 lbr daun bawang, iris halus
4 butir telur rebus, iris bulat jadi 8 bagian
150 gr fillet dada ayam rebus, suwir-suwir, potong2
50 gr smoked chicken potong2 (mis merk Fiesta)
2 sdm margarin, untuk menumis
1 butir bawang bombay, cincang
250 cc kaldu ayam
250 cc susu cair
1 sdt garam
1 sdt merica bubuk
½ sdt pala bubuk
1 sdt gula pasir
1 sdm maggie seasoning

untuk mengentalkan (kalau gak mau pastel berkuah)
4-6 sdm tepung terigu

Olesan pastel tutup :
1 kuning telur, kocok sampai rata
1 sdm margarin


Directions:
Cara Membuat :
1. Olesi pinggan tahan panas ukuran 20X20X5 cm dengan margarin.

2. Pure kentang : Kukus kentang hingga masak, kupas. Panas-panas
lumatkan. Bubuhi garam, merica dan pala, masukkan margarin, maggie seasoning, aduk rata, sisihkan.

3. taruh satu bagian kentang di dasar pinggan, ratakan. (kalau mau pastel yang berkuah spt favoritku, nggak usah di kasi kentang di dasarnya, langsung aja isinya, dan kuahnya. kentang semua buat tutup aja)

4. Panaskan margarin, tumis bawang bombay+pala bubuk, hingga harum, masukkan daging ayam. Aduk, tuangi kaldu. Masukkan soun, jamur, kacang polong, daun bawang, wortel dan soun. Tuang susu, bubuhkan garam, merica dan gula.

5 Aduk hingga wortel matang, angkat. (kalau mau versi kental, kentalkan dulu dengan tepung terigu yang di ayak langsung di adonan, saat masih mendidih... aduk cepat, hingga mengental... jangan terlalu kental, karena saat dingin akan mengeras) tuangkan adonan ke dalam loyang yang sudah di alas kentang pure, atur potongan telur rebus di atasnya.

6. taruh pure kentang di atasnya. Rapikan pure.

7. Olesi permukaan kentang dengan kuning telur, kalau mau, buat motif gurat dengan garpu diatas permukaan kentang setelah di oles kuning telur, panggang selama 30 menit, atau hingga kekuningan. Angkat, olesi butter begitu keluar dari oven.

Bahan

100 gr tp terigu
30 gr coklat bubuk
2 bks nutrisari (jeruk keprok)
150 gr mentega cair
100 gr coklat batang dilelehkan
200 gr gula pasir
3 butir telor

Cara Membuat

  1. kocok telor dan gula sampe mengembang
  2. campurkan tepung, coklat bubuk dan nutrisari yg sdh diayak bersamaan ke dalam adonan, aduk sampai tercampur.
  3. lalu masukkan coklat yg sdh dilelehkan.
  4. masukkan mentega yg sdh dicairkan, aduk semua hingga tercampur rata.
  5. bakar sampe matang dan wangi.
  6. potong kotak2 atau sesuai selera.

Hiasan
oleskan whiped cream dan beri buah ceri diatasnya.
